Case study content

Expansion of the Singapore refinery located at Jurong Island is to support the production of the EHC group II base stocks. Group II base stocks will enable customers to blend lubricants that satisfy more stringent specifications, help reduce emissions and improve fuel economy and low-temperature performance.

The expansion project will result in the production of fuels that comply with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) global sulphur cap. NES is currently the top supplier on this project, with production targeted to startup in 2023.
