The PNG LNG Project was initiated to realise the potential of three gas discoveries (Hides, Angore and Juha).
Agreements were signed by partners in 2008, construction started in early 2010, and the facilities started production in April 2014.
The PNG LNG Project now produces approximately 7.9 million tons of LNG per year and is expected to produce 11 trillion cubic feet of LNG over the next 30 years.
The whole project includes gas production, processing and liquefaction facilities, as well as offshore and onshore pipelines.
