Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Horseheads, New York. (Rotational travel to Strasburg, Ohio or Weston, West Virginia may be required average of one week per month).
Travel expenses including meals, hotel, and mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile.
Compensation: $19/hour – $21/hour
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) to customers. This role involves performing quality assurance tests on company products, preparing laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and providing advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Develop competency in advanced additive selection and fluid design.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, working condition and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Prepare technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
• Support Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical assistance.
• Perform risk analysis before each task to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns.
• Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and contribute to performance improvement plans.
• Engage in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and Quality initiatives.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and observe all HSE policies.
• Maintain up-to-date safety training.
Shift Schedule:
• Day Shift: 7 days on, 3 days off | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7 days on, 4 days off | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
