Administration Assistant
Description:
Pay Rate: £11.80 plus hols
Hours: 37.5
Location: Gateshead
Duration: 6 months
Possibility of Temp to Perm
Reporting to the Quotations Lead, the Administrator will have responsibility for inputting and processing customer enquiries, quotations and orders utilising the ERP system. Key to this role will be your ability to utilise your experience to improve customer satisfaction by reducing customer response time and simplifying the customer experience. You will follow procedures ensuring all administration work is completed in a reasonable timeframe (aligning to internal KPI’s). In collaboration with the quotations team you will pursue customer orders and support the customer where possible. You will have the opportunity to use your existing administration skills and advance your sales skills including investigating, analysing and resolving customer issues by conducting reviews of enquiries and orders. You will also assist with continuous improvement projects in order to explore and develop methods of increased efficiency in alignment with our overall strategy and vision.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process customer enquiries, quotations and orders in a timely and efficient manner utilising the ERP system
• Input information into the workload trackers
• Escalate customer complaints to the Quotations Lead when required
• Represent the customer interests within the business to assist in finding resolution to requests in a timely manner
• Accountable for contributing to improvement of department KPIs
• Comply with all departmental and company procedures at all times
• Ensure all quotations and orders are handled in accordance with NOV compliance requirements and highlight any red flags to supervision
• Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
• Ensure all company policies surrounding health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met

Qualifications:
Essential
• Secondary school level Maths, English

• Higher level of education

• Experience in a similar position (+/- 2 years)
• Experience within a sales environment
• Knowledge of good sales practice
• Knowledge of sales procedures
Skills, training or special knowledge:

• Computer literacy (including high expertise of Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
Desirable
• Knowledge of ERP/ MRP systems (moving to Omega/Oracle)
