Appointed Person, Lifting – Commercial Construction – Hyper-scale Data Centre Project – Sandviken, Sweden
      
This role represents a great opportunity for an experienced Appointed Person (Lifting) to secure their next permanent role. Our client is a well-established Data Centre Contractor based in Dublin with this project based in Sandviken, Sweden. They have enjoyed continued growth for many years. As a result, this company has an urgent requirement for an experienced Appointed Person (Lifting) to join their team on a permanent basis working on a hyper-scale data centre project in Sandviken, Sweden.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management, organisation, planning and control of all aspects of a lifting operation.
• Create and issue Lift Plans to the relevant appointed person, ensuring this all-lift plan is in place.
• Ensure all APs under your control have clearly defined roles, interfaces, levels of authority and areas of responsibility within the project such that all lifting operations are managed effectively, and none are overlooked.
• All APs under your control are appointed in writing, having had their competence checked.
• Mentors are assigned to APs, where required, to encourage professional development and to provide support to newly qualified or less experienced APs.
• The APs are supported; obtaining feedback and dealing with issues raised.
• The Lift Supervisor and other members of the team undertaking a lift are fully briefed on the contents, scope and limits of the Lift Plan.
• A Lift Plan is issued for the relevant lift only once adequate review/approval has been undertaken and any issues addressed.

Requirements:

• Relevant AP and Crane Supervisor qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience on large construction sites, preferably data centres
• Strong communication & leadership skills
• Must have a European Passport
