Aker Solutions in Oslo are now looking for Architectural Designers and Architectural Package Responsible Engineers (PREs) to strengthen their team.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

 

Architectural Designer;

  • Responsibility for 2D drawing production for the architectural discipline
  • Production of architectural engineering drawings including room layouts, flooring, doors, walling systems, insulation and general arrangements as well as other typical architectural details
Architectural Package Responsible Engineer (PRE);

  • Responsibility for the assigned architectural package e.g. heavy- and medium-duty doors or windows etc.
  • Prepare and produce all necessary technical specification documentation
  • Verify that the architectural design meets NORSOK and international regulations and standards
  • Work closely with Package responsible buyer to follow up suppliers and ensure the package is delivered to the client on time and with the right quality
  • Verify vendors’ technical documentation and approve material & product selection
 

Required skills and experience:

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture or civil engineering
  • At least 5 years’ work experience as an architectural designer/engineer within relevant industries like oil & gas/energy, marine, civil construction etc.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international regulations and standards
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • For the architectural designer role, you need to have good skills in NavisWorks, AutoCAD and Microsoft
  • For the architectural PRE role, installation/construction experience from yards is beneficial
 

NES Advantage can offer 2-year contracts with excellent prospects for extension. Work permits required for non-EU citizens hired by NES Advantage will be arranged and paid for.
