Our client is an international manufacturer with strong roots in Australia. They provide a broad range of solutions to support industries such as mining, government and industrial. Following exciting growth plans, they are now seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their team in Perth.
As Area Sales Manager, you will report directly to the WA State Sales Manager and be responsible for managing distributors and direct sales. You will utilise your existing sales background and your mechanical aptitude to build relationships and expand existing accounts. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Manage your clients through the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Lead to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including contract managers, supply chain and procurement.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate innovative machinery and equipment to prospective clients.
  • 50/50 New business vs Account Management
Qualifications/ Knowledge and skill
This is a critical hire for a global business seeking to expand their market share in Western Australia. To be successful in this role, you will have a mechanical background with exposure in an industrial sales environment. You will possess strong commercial acumen to expand existing accounts and identify new business.
