NES Fircroft is currently partnered with a leading education institution in Hong Kong that owns numerous schools across the city. The team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Building Service Engineer to work closely with members of the E&M team on upcoming projects in 2023. 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide building services and engineering support to the delivery of major capital projects and asset enhancement projects for schools
  • Work alongside with end users, in-house project management team, consultants and  contractors on M&E design and installation
  • Assist in preparing M&E project documents and scope
  • Assist in supervising M&E installation works
  • Familiar with conducting technical feasibility studies and building services engineering design in accordance to the company's standard and requirements
  • Active participant in the design engagement process and provide technical advice to stakeholders
  • Preparing M&E design and tender documentation including tender drawings and technical specifications for M&E works
  • Providing technical input in procurement and tendering processes
  • Carry out testing and commissioning M&E works to maintain high standards for the school operator and facilities management team to takeover
  • To perform other duties and assume accountabilities as apparent or as delegated
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant technical subject
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant Post-Graduate experience
  • Hands on design for M&E works
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Good understanding of building services engineering standards and best practices
  • Good understanding of HKSAR building codes and standards
  • Basic knowledge of construction practice and safety rules.
  • Fluency in oral, and written English, Cantonese (desirable)
  • Competency in computer-aided drawing software such as AutoCAD
  • Knowledge and practical experience in the application of BIM would be an advantage
