Job Purpose
To manage the full range of products manufactured on the Indian site. This will include issuing prices, liaising with R&D, Technical support and Production on new product developments and complaints, creating sales tools, analysing sales activity, forecasting, providing cost information, data analysis and market research.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibility
The following list is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature may be required:
  • To implement and manage, at Local level, Group Product and Market strategies for each  product group.
  • To help grow the sales of Scott Bader products through providing a responsive and accurate service to commercial teams on pricing and product information. This will involve collating and analysing all costing information and recommending prices within agreed limits agreed by the appropriate Group Product manager.
  • To maximise sales margin, profit and cash contribution across the Scott Bader business through careful price management, product and customer profitability analysis, prompt direction of sales teams,.
  • To manage all locally generated product data (e.g TDS) making sure that it conforms to agreed group templates and standards and is available on systems accessible across the group.
  • To maintain product information for all locally manufactured product groups on M3, CRM and other linked systems.
  • To actively manage the full range of locally manufactured products in line with agreed Group product and marketing strategies with a remit to optimise the number of references sold and maximise profit per kg.
  • To act as the responsible person for all locally manufactured finished goods stock, liaising with operational and supply chain colleagues to ensure that stock levels allow agreed OTIF and working capital measures to be met.
  • To ensure that all local production is undertaken in the most efficient manner by  ongoing review and optimisation of minimum and maximum order and batch quantities, working with Operational colleagues through the S&OP process to balance customer service and production efficiency. 
  • As part of the wider Product Management team  and with the support of technical & marketing  colleagues, to produce appropriate sales tools to help the promotion and use of Scott Bader composites products. 
  • Where appropriate, to attend customer visits with the sales team in order to support the sales process and gather market information.
  • To be commercial owner of local/regional sales forecast & Work with Operational & supply chain colleagues within group & local S&OP processes to ensure  short mid and long term commercial sales forecasts can be met.
  • To be the primary commercial representative on R&D product development projects for local site, ensuring that the Accolade system is used in the correct manner and all projects are in line with Group Product and Marketing strategies. . Where directed by the Group Product Manager ,as a support to the wider Product Management team, management of multi site group development projects may also be required.
  • To be the commercial owner of complaints pertaining to locally manufactured products, working with Quality and operational colleagues to ensure prompt root cause & trend analysis and closure.
  • To gather, on a systematic basis, market information from customers and external sources in a defined Geography in order to inform group strategy & product development processes At the discretion of the Group Product Manager , take ownership of Product groups or Market areas on a Group or Regional basis.
Skill & Knowledge
  1. Strong project planning skills.
  2. Effective Management of 3rd party service providers for specific bought in services – toll manufacturing
  3. Strong relationship building at senior level and internal & external stakeholders.
  4. PC and internet proficient, with advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  5. Effective report writing skills.
  6. Effective interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, including those for whom English is not a first language
  7. Develop & initiate new project ideas
  8. Strong Analytical and numeracy skills, able to confidently handle price, margin, financial and sales data.
  1. Knowledge of Chemistry, preferably Polymer and/or Resin Chemistry.
  2. Ability to communicate well in English as well as Croatian
Qualification & Training :
Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Management or Chemistry – ideally chemistry or at least 3 years experience in a sales and marketing environment within the chemical Industry
