Base Lab Technician - Drilling Fluids

NES is looking for Base Lab Technician for our OFS client, non rotational role

Minimum requirements and Responsibilities

1. Minimum Experience – 6-8 Years
2. Saudi Arabia Experience – Preferred
3. LSTK Experience – Must Preferred
4. Following Mud Systems Formulation, Performance Testing & Trouble Shooting
   1. Water Based Mud
   2. Oil Base Mud
   3. Reservoir Drill-In-Fluids
   4. Brines – NaCl & CaCl2
   5. Packer Fluids
   6. WBM & OBM Reservoir Remediation Systems  

Reporting & Engineering Software
 

1. Lab Link & / or TSR
2. Preparation & Finalization of QA/QC & / or Performance Testing Report.   

Key responsibilities / accountabilities
 

1. Proficient in English to communicate with client representatives and internally to discuss on operational issues and provide necessary solutions.
2. Manage Drilling Fluids Base Laboratory in Country
3. Ensuring that laboratory activities comply with HS&E and that safety awareness & practices are strictly being adhered to at all times.
4. ISO Certification and documentation
5. QA/QC of Drilling Fluids Products as per API 13-A
6. Drilling Fluids performance testing & evaluation as per API 13-B1 & B2
7. Drilling Fluids System Evaluation as per API 13-C.
8. Specialized Testing to be performed as per API 13-I.
9. Support rig operation with testing equipment, supply and calibration. 
10. Fluid formulation design for field operations and tenders, problem solving, and visiting customers if necessary.
11. R&D – designing and developing new drilling fluid systems.
