Billing Assistant Medior (Part-time)

For the office in Amsterdam, our client is seeking for a billing assistant to support the financial controller and to support ad-hoc admin activities.

Primary tasks & Responsibilities
Ensuring the adequate collection, processing, and provision of information within the accounting department, ensuring that accurate information is available on time. Assisting the Financial Controller and taking on important tasks during the financial controller’s absence.

1. Creditors Management
• Checks and corrects the data entered into the financial administration by other employees.
• Makes changes to master data.
• Ensures that invoices are approved by two people.
• Records invoices.
• Records cash and bank transactions.

2. Debtors Management
• Identifies payment delays and, if necessary, blocks customers from further delivery.
• Manages credit.
• Makes changes to master data.
• Follows up with debtors regarding late payments.
• Provides periodic reports.
• Collects and returns signed end-of-year customer summaries.

3. Maintaining the General Ledger and Insight into Outstanding Items
• Processes bank and cash transactions in SAP.

• Sets priorities that are in the interest of closing dates.
• Considers closing dates when planning vacations.
• Monitors payment behaviour.
• Takes over the administrative tasks of the Financial Controller during their absence.

Technical profile requirements
• Minimum 4yrs experience in a similar role
• Minimum relevant MBO education in a financial, economic direction.
• Has basic knowledge of bookkeeping.
• Knowledge of statutory accounting rules.
• Familiar with office software and computer systems, including SAP and MS Office.

Non-technical profile requirements
• Works accurately and has a good sense of numbers.
• Strict, critical, accurate, communicative, determined, diplomatic, and convincing.
• Handles confidential information discreetly.

Language proficiencies
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Amsterdam Office
• 100% onsite presence
• 10hrs/week to perform in 2 days of 5 hrs
• usual mondays & thursday, the days selected cannot follow-up

• Start around mid august, earlier is possible as well
• first contract till EOY 2024
