NESFircroft are working on behalf of a global power technology business sourcing a Business Controller to join on a consultancy basis. The successful candidate would be to joining our clients Finance team as a Business Controller to collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement and Engineering teams, maintaining monthly project cost and revenue forecasts. The role will be on a Hybrid basis working from home and from our clients brand new office in Liffey Valley, Dublin. This is a support role on an initial 3 month contract (high possibility of extension) to support the project finance team as they enter into a very busy year.


The Role
• Provide financial support to project teams across full project lifecycle (tendering, project execution, project close-out, warranty)
• Perform delta analysis of actual project costs vs budget and track variances on a monthly basis.
• Support Tender Manager on financial aspects during tender stage including risk review process
• Support Project Manager and the Project Team in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive operational and financial performance across a portfolio of assigned projects, drive and seek optimization of project revenues, profitability, cashflow contributing to the financial result of the business unit
• Support the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews including preparation of “at completion” estimates, cost-to-complete calculations, revenues, and cash flow forecasts. Contribute to opportunity/risk identification and monitor that all required actions are timely implemented
• Manage invoicing, currency risks and hedging, bonds and guarantees as well as tax matters with support from relevant departments
• Assure compliance with relevant financial accounting and reporting standards as well as internal control and compliance regulations
• Provide ad-hoc project related financial analysis and participate to relevant financial or transformation initiatives

About You
• Fully qualified accountant or part qualified accountant (through education or experience)
• Experience in project controlling would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience in general finance and support of wider teams
• Strong ability to build internal relations and manage expectations
• SAP Project Systems experience or similar
