Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas Piping
Location: Remote (Alberta preferred) will also consider candidates from Ontario or Saskatchewan 
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports to: Director, Global Business Development

Role Summary We are seeking a Business Development Manager with deep experience in the Canadian oil & gas sector, specifically in piping systems, fittings, and flanges. This role requires a strategic, self-driven professional who understands the full sales ecosystem — EPCs, distributors, and end users — and knows how to influence decision-makers across operations, maintenance, integrity, and engineering teams.

You will be responsible for driving market penetration, building strong relationships, and securing major project and MRO business within Canada’s energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the Canadian go-to-market strategy for piping products.
  • Develop and manage a robust business development plan and sales pipeline.
  • Build strong relationships with EPCs, distributors, and oil & gas end users.
  • Drive vendor prequalification and onboarding with EPC procurement teams.
  • Lead technical and commercial discussions on piping systems and components.
  • Prepare quotations and support pricing strategies.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Maintain CRM reporting, opportunity pipeline, and monthly forecasts.
  • Support technical approvals and product registrations as required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in B2B oil & gas business development, technical sales, or account management.
  • Background with piping, fittings, valves, or related industrial equipment.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset; able to operate independently in a remote structure.
  • Proven success in securing large projects or major packages in oil & gas.
  • Existing network within Canadian EPCs, distributors, midstream operators, and end-user procurement strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage long-cycle industrial sales and open new accounts.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or Business preferred).
