Our client a Global Oil and Gas Major Organization in Perth CBD are currently seeking a Commercial Manager, Lifting to join them for a 1-year fixed term contract with potential of extension.
The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day activities associated with LNG, Condensate and Domestic Gas operation of the LNG project, in compliance with the respective agreements. This will include but not be limited to LNG Lifting coordination, daily production monitoring, delivery scheduling and processing requests to delivery changes, and LNG export documentation.
The incumbent will also participate in various aspects of commercial and contractual discussions with the Joint Venture such as budget, price review, project operation, regulatory response, GHG emissions etc,
Good communication skills, discretion and accuracy are key behavioural requirements required to operate successfully within this role along with a conscientious and rigorous approach to managing both technical and commercially critical activities.
This position will provide an opportunity to learn the Joint Operating model, including but not limited to production, lifting, LNG sales, transportation etc

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
LNG lifting:
- Coordination and negotiation with stakeholders such as LNG operator, other lifters of the Joint Venture, buyer and transporter regarding LNG delivery scheduling.
- Monitor daily production, production forecast, loading schedule and inventory balance of LNG project and prepare weekly report to internal.
- Document preparation for LNG export and delivery such as application for export license authority and Documentary Instruction for Bill of Lading, etc.
- Price calculation, payment, invoice processing, etc.
- Planning and Creation of Annual Lifting and Delivery Schedule considering production forecast, maintenance schedule of LNG plant/ ship and buyers demand balance.
- Coordination and negotiation with stakeholders such as LNG operator, other lifters of LNG Joint Ventures, buyers and transporter regarding Annual Lifting and Delivery Schedule.
- Annual settlement such shipping cost and attribution with transporter and buyer.
- Periodical meeting with buyer including operation and commercial issues such as price review.
- Document preparation for LNG export and delivery such as application for export license authority and Documentary Instruction for Bill of Lading, etc.
- Price calculation, payment, invoice processing, etc.
- Participate in project committee and working level discussion and be involved in discussion regarding budget, project operation, regulatory response, GHG emission and etc.
- Review and analyse operator’s proposal, make suggestions for improvements and corrections and obtain internal approval.
- Prepare minutes of project committee and working level discussion to internal report purpose.
- 3+ years of experience of working in operational or/and commercial role of LNG/Oil and Gas particularly in Gas transportation and processing and LNG/Condensate export
- Tertiary education
- Broad and intensive knowledge across LNG, oil, gas markets.
- Excellent reporting skills in both verbal and written regarding daily LNG, Condensate, gas operation and periodical project meetings.
- Ability to handle daily documentation work such as operational notice, price calculation and invoicing, accurately and quickly
- Strong attention to detail and time sensitivity
- Accustomed to responding to customer requirements accurately and quickly.
- Analytical ability to accurately review and analyse reports from third parties regarding LNG, Condensate, gas, including production records, transportation cost and statistics.
- Excellent problem solving, creativity, decision making, data analysis and interpretations skills.
- Well-developed team working and communication skills and ability to work in a diverseteam especially with Japanese expats.
- Excellent sociability to actively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent skill in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point
- Ability to react to adapting situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Japanese language advantageous.
