Job Description: A groundbreaking large-scale renewable energy storage project near Manchester is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring that project designs are implemented correctly, and construction works are carried out in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful integration of energy storage technologies and the alignment of project objectives
• Review and approve project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring that project designs are implemented correctly and construction works are carried out in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards
• Conduct site inspections, system assessments, and quality control checks, ensuring the proper implementation of project designs and the integrity of the constructed facility
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction personnel, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the construction process
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field
• Proven experience as a Construction Engineer, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry
