Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor (Electrical)
Location: Granby QC
Start Date: Immediately
Industry: Battery Storage
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-6pm / Saturday 7am to 3pm
Level of Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience (3+ at a supervisory level)
Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist Site Superintendent to carry out daily construction work supervision and site inspection.
· Document daily job report and report to Site Superintendent and Construction Manager informed of project status and concerning issues on schedule, interface, work-fronts, and etc.
· Compile on-site quantitative data on weekly basis.
· Verify work progress based on drawings and specifications’ requirements.
· Ensure project schedule follow-up and participate in site meetings
· Issue recommendations regarding site work acceptance and prepare the list of deficiencies.
· Coordinate the activities with other disciplines.
· Communicate effectively with design builder (and its subtrades) and the project team ensuring that performance, schedule, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
· Identify any potential risks at site and immediately report to HSE for prepare manager for immediate corrective actions.
· Assist and ensure the correct connections in control panels, I/O check and power supply.
· Coordinate the activities with other disciplines.
· Coordinate with local subcontractors and the authorities
· Communicate effectively with design builder (and its subtrades) and the project team ensuring that performance, schedule, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
Qualifications
· Diploma of college studies in electrical engineering or an equivalent. (Candidates with equivalent experience may be considered)
· 5-10 years’ work experience in construction, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role.
· Relevant experience in industrial plan construction projects.
· Familiar with electrical systems, Instrumentation, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures.
· ASP construction card (OHS on construction sites).
· Understanding of construction industry standards, drawings, and operations (i.e., construction specifications, building materials, IFC drawings, local regulations, and etc.).
· Effective communication skills in English and French (spoken and written).
· Good knowledge and experience with Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD viewer, and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
· Going above and beyond attitude (strong work ethics).
· Work well in a fast pace and high-pressure environment.
· Previous project experience with Korean EPC contractor is not mandatory requirement, but a significant asset.
