A groundbreaking large-scale renewable energy storage project near Manchester is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on-site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
• Manage and mentor construction supervisors, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
• Monitor construction progress, making adjustments as necessary to address any potential delays, issues, or risks
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices, promoting a safe and responsible work environment
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment of project objectives and successful integration of energy storage technologies
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including progress reports, quality control documentation, and HSE records
Requirements:
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships and resolve conflicts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry
