Contract Manager

Our Operator client is looking for a Contract Manager to join the team on a temporary basis!

Rate: Competitive 

Location: Luanda 

Roles and responsibilities:

• Leads and directs all contractual aspects of executing the project including risk assessment.
• Be fully aware of Power Purchase Agreement, EPC Contract, Coal Supply Agreement, O&M
• Agreement and various Project Agreements and manage the stakeholders effectively in line with the contracts.
• Be effective in responding to the correspondences from various counter parties and ensure the interest of the Company is protected.
• Actively monitors the project progress in line with the contract schedule and ensure the parties adhere to the program.
• Interfaces with senior management team, finance and legal personnel to meet overall project deliverables.
• Establishes procedures for award and administration of any Project contracts
• Verifies the invoices of the contractors along with the Owner’s Engineer and process the payments.
• Understand and prepare invoicing procedure for the Company and work together closely with the model consultant in finalizing the Settlement system and plant model software.
• Monitors and manages the Company’s various registration documents, certifications,  construction permits, project related permits, NOCs and work actively to ensure timely renewals.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Engineering AND/OR Masters in Law.
• Minimum 12 Years of Experience working with large complex projects in Energy, Oil & Gas industry
• Professional Certification in Contracts Management
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• Be able to dive into the details of non-contractual matters such as engineering, cost control,  planning and construction in order to provide relevant contractual support
• Team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities.
