Job Title: Program Planner
Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: Mon-Fri
Contract Length: 1 year
Summary: Position is responsible for integrated portfolio program planning for ~$300MM annual spend for programs Well Delivery Sustaining Capital Projects
Key Stakeholders:
• Functional reporting to Well Delivery Program Integration Manager with accountability to maintain standardized practices within the Well Delivery Program Integration
• Accountable to the Sustaining Capital Program Manager supporting the Project team
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Scheduling:
• Work with project management, execution teams, enabling functions, business opportunity management to develop integrated multi discipline project schedule aligned to project scope and objectives
• Engage stakeholders to maintain coordination schedule in Primavera P6 on a weekly basis with interim updates or scenario development as required
• Optimize the project schedule to reflect the appropriate level of detail to support project planning and execution, cost forecasting, and interface management
• Ensures project schedules are coded per the work breakdown structure and project requirements
• Ensure schedule logic is accurate and activities are achievable
• Ensure all schedule changes handled through change management system in line with Project Controls procedures
• Set up, facilitate, and manage meetings with the different disciplines in a timely and efficient manner
• Identify and drive resolution where there are schedule inconsistencies
Project Performance & Reporting:
• Support project management reporting including cost and schedule updates
• Compilation and review of monthly project / program report for Well Delivery and Program management
• Risk tracking as it applies to trend identification and coordination of risk reviews
• Maintain Project Change management and trend log and approval documentation
• Support lessons learned identification and application to future year’s programs
• Prepare and provide analysis or project execution dashboards and performance reports to include project KPI’s, project progress, project costs, project changes and risk
• Continuous focus on continuous improvement and efficiencies
Interface Management:
• Coordination with Project Managers, Execution Team, Enabling Functions to ensure schedules are integrated across multiple programs
Qualifications:
• Preference for field experience or technical diploma
• 5+ years oil and gas experience preferably with drilling programs
• 5 years Project Planning utilizing Primavera P6
• Considered an asset for 5+ years in multiple project control disciplines (cost, risk, change management)
• SAP skills considered an advantage
• Exceptional MS Excel skills
• Well-developed communication and interpretation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
