My client is currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer for their Concord, CA office! 

Job Duties
: Responsible for the engineering/design of overall control systems. Develop and recommend estimates, budgets, and schedules. Assist with project work. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Participate in the engineering/design and selection of overall control systems for small to large-size projects. Interface with clients (engineers, shop personnel, inspection staff, contractors) and assist with the direction of junior staff and CAD resources to meet defined project needs and standards. Implement company systems, standards, procedures, and tools. Understand and apply all client and safety policies. Responsible for interpreting assignments and for the soundness of engineering. Perform assigned technical work which may involve development of systems engineering. Keep Project Manager informed of changes to scope and deviations from contracts. Responsible for all control system design work: installation drawings and details, loop drawings, logic diagrams, and vendor drawings. Maintain close technical coordination with vendors. Visit vendor shops and witness Factor Acceptance Tests if needed.  

 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Control Systems, Chemical, Mechanical, Maritime, or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, plus 5 years of experience in control systems engineering or a related occupation. All experience must include demonstrated experience in: medium to high voltage electrical buildings and substations; project design, installation, and vendor coordination; Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP); substation automation RTAC; SIMATIC Manager; Enervista; technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models production; hazardous area classifications; NAPA, 70, 70E, PIP, IEEE, and Color Book; motor schematic, three-line, and wiring diagrams; and construction and start-up engineering support.
