Our client specialized in Energy sector is looking for a Cost Controller.

Main role:                                
  • Reports to: Business Controller BPS
  • Supervision of: Cost Controllers (depending of project size)
  • Liaises with: BPS PM/PCM/EPM/PPM/Planner/Contract Manager/SB-Finance team members/ client ... for day-to-day control of allocated projects
  • Internal & external Auditor for ad hoc requests.
 RESPONSIBILITIES (=) MAIN TASKS (+)
  • Administer & Monitor all Project Administration/Cost Reporting/Financial aspects of Brownfield Lumpsum & rebilliable projects
  • Create a cost-conscious atmosphere so that all persons working on a project are aware of how their activities impact the project cost including all applicable Contractual issues.
 GENERAL
  • Analyze contract after handover and prepare financial Project Summary
  • Prepare specific monthly cost reports at client or partner request
  • Prepare a monthly tracking of the Percentage of Completion (PoC) including booking of accruals (check consistency with the physical progress)
  • Review and validate change orders in relation with Project Manager/Project Control Manager for input in forecast
  • Verify purchase requisitions (budgets, amounts and codes) before approval by Project Manager.
  • Prepare client invoices according to contractual terms with adequate back-up and book accounting records. Follow up client invoices date of receipt, payments from clients and Issue reminders when necessary.
  • Ensure that project taxation is properly handled in conjunction with Tax Counsel
  • Provide ad hoc support to BPS Business controller
  • Provide adhoc support to auditors when required.

FORECAST
  • Prepare the Internal Project Forecast on a monthly basis
  • Build a standardized forecast / actuals reports at JV and consolidated level
  • Prepare Project Cash Planning Reports when required
  • Prepare a Manpower Forecast Report in liaison with Project Manager/Project Control Manager when required
 BUDGET
  • Support management team for 3YP preparation as required
 JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
  • Business School or financial & accounting related degree.
 Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience costs control in an international environment.
 Specific competencies:
  • Fluent in English
  • Project cost control experience
  • Project cost control experience
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to analyze information and be comfortable with data
  • Solid IT skills, with good knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn specialist software
  • Excellent team working attitude, relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet objectives and deadlines.
