Job Description

In this role at our client you’ll play a key part in developing and executing projects involving installation of water electrolysis, often integrated into the customers’ production facilities. This hydrogen department is a stand-alone business unit within our client and you’ll be developing cost control tools and systems and managing and controlling the hydrogen project costs from project development through concept selection, engineering, tendering, construction, and commissioning. You’ll be working on several projects in different stages of maturity.

You’ll be part of the Hydrogen team where you, together with your colleagues, will be involved in an increasing number of hydrogen projects across our focus area in the Netherlands. You’ll play an important role in:
 
  • Developing cost and expenditure forecasts for the projects and individual contracts
  • Monitoring and managing costs and expenditures against plans, reporting deviations and developing mitigating actions to avoid cost overruns
  • Setting up cost control tools and processes for the portfolio of projects
  • Reporting of cost performance to project managers and sr. management
  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders: project teams, contract managers, resource providers and the organization's cost control and finance team

To succeed in the role, you:
 
  • have at least 10 years of demonstrable cost control experience with relevant IT tools and systems
  • are fully conversant with MS Office, Sharepoint, SAP and other relevant cosy control IT tools
  • are pro-active and willing to learn new tools and systems being used within the ocmpany
  • have full professional proficiency in English written and spoken language.
