Job Title: E&I Cost Estimator
Location: Calgary, AB
Contract Length: 1 year
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week
Summary:
Utilizing your strong background as an estimating professional and well-developed interpersonal abilities, you will interface with multi-discipline and multi-functional teams in the office and in the field to ensure that E&I estimating duties are executed to a high standard, in a timely manner, and in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Job Title: E&I Cost Estimator

Summary:
Utilizing your strong background as an estimating professional and well-developed interpersonal abilities, you will interface with multi-discipline and multi-functional teams in the office and in the field to ensure that E&I estimating duties are executed to a high standard, in a timely manner, and in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee and monitor engineering contractor’s E&I estimate development (estimator embedment) both pre-award and in execution
- Review and validate total installed E&I cost estimates submitted by contractors.
- Ensure that all estimates meet AACE standards for the required class of estimate
- Conduct reviews of E&I contracts, RFPs, RFIs, POs, and bids in support of the bidding process
- Review/develop internal trend and change order E&I estimates
- Collect and assemble E&I cost data in accordance with cost data management processes
- Provide specialty estimating services (including support to other disciplines) as required
- Maintain in-house estimating data
- AACE CEP or CCP certification (or eligibility) as well as an Engineering degree or relevant trade certification
- 10+ years of industrial estimating experience including 3 years of oil, gas, or mining experience preferably in the oil sands
- E&I construction experience and site/field work experience required
- Strong understanding of the project development process as it relates to estimating including:
- Development of detailed TIC estimates
- Development of conceptual estimates
- Assessment and management of risk
- Development of benchmarking data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven analytical abilities
- Able to work independently and demonstrate leadership in a fast paced environment
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Exposure to Winest and/or other estimating software
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
