5 Days on / 2 days off (8 hours a day)

Client has a program off upskilling the national workforce by coaching, mentoring & providing knowledge transfer of industry best practice.
To succeed the successful candidate must be a technical expert who is capable of forming strong relationships with all stakeholders built on mutual trust and respect in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
- Successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of control systems - Emerson DeltaV, Allen Bradley PLC, Schneider Modicon, Siemens & ABB 800 XA.
- Deliver and drive national engineer and technician coaching, assessment & development in control systems and maintenance best practices.
- Support national maintenance teams in preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Providing diagnostic support for resolution of issues by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommending improvements to control system hardware, software, logic, HMI and Procedures.
- Startup support during Plant and Equipment startup, including PSSR (Prestart up safety review) & Control System Statement of Fitness.
- Provide Support during SAT & Commissioning activities for control system.
- Adhering to Management of Change (MOC) while doing any modification.
- Obsolescence Management & Spare Management for existing Control system
- Point and logic configuration in DCS and ESD system, and Graphics Modification.
- Supporting daily Alarm management activity.
- Implementing Vendor recommendations related to control system to keep system up do date such as Antivirus update & Windows security patches.
- Awareness of Cyber Security & application in Oil & Gas.
- Responsible for design, specification, selection, and services related to Basic Process Control Systems, Safety Systems, PLCs, and other control systems.
- Responsible to assist with control philosophy and functional description
- Knowledge of Control narrative aspects including simple & complex loops.
Criteria & Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor s degree in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics or Computer Science from a recognized and approved program.
- More than 10 years of experience in Industrial Automation Systems, including at least 7 years in DCS and ESD systems.
- Advance working knowledge of Emerson DeltaV DCS system & OPC system
- Advance working knowledge of Emerson DeltaV Safety System SLS & its communication with DCS is a must.
- Knowledge of Rockwell PLC & HMI, Siemens PCS, Bentley Nevada will be preferred.
- Practical Experience with establishing communication interfaces with third party systems using Ethernet Network, Modbus & OPC is necessary.
- Networking fundamental knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of Industrial codes and standards- DIN/ASME/API/ANSI/NEMA/ATEX etc. related to area of work will be preferred.
- Experience with Windows server, MS SQL server, VM Ware and virtualization is required.
- Ability to develop Engineering drawings and wirings schematics, loop diagrams and power distribution for Control system.
- Knowledge of SIL fundamentals is required.
- Knowledge of Alarm Management is required.
- Experience of working in multinational and multicultural environment will be an added advantage.
