Decommissioning Project Engineer

About the Role:
 
The Decommissioning Team have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the team. Within Projects Australia they deliver offshore infrastructure removal scopes across various Woodside operated assets. Projects are delivered in close cooperation with industry leading contractors.
 
This opportunity would join the team that is to deliver decommissioning of the Enfield Riser Turret Mooring (RTM), the Stybarrow Disconnectable Turret Mooring (DTM), and the Griffin RTM. 
 
The projects are either in execute phase or nearing final investment decision. The projects involve offshore heavy lift activities in water depths ranging from 100m to 800m and then subsequent onshore disposal.  
Duties & Responsibilities:
 
The purpose of the role is to safely deliver decommissioning scopes on time and within budget while meeting stakeholders’ expectations.  The role will involve field based work and client representation. Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:
  • Drive HSEQ performance, process safety and integrity management throughout delivery of scope.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of specialists from various service groups including HSEQ, C&P, Engineering, Project Services and Logistics.
  • Support Project Engineer and teams to deliver decommissioning projects and ensure Project Manager is informed on delivery
  • Support tendering activities, including evaluation of contractor’s bids and contract negotiations for engineering, preparation, removal, and disposal (EPRD) activities.
  • Support the management of contractor scope delivery following contract award
  • Support management of interfaces between various contractors and other decommissioning project activities
  • Provide site-based representation for offshore (service vessel, lift vessel) and onshore (wharf, disposal yard) decommissioning scopes at key stages of the works
  • Manage changes to project scope, cost, schedule, and risk through implementation of MoC
  • Ensure conformance with WMS, Engineering Standards and Specifications 
  • Support fit for purpose governance, verification, and assurance of all elements of the scope.
  • Responsible for managing interfaces with the team, other projects, and other internal delivery streams.
  • Ensure liaison with Subject Matter Experts and Integrity Authorities where required.
 
Skills & Experience:
 
  • Degree qualified engineer with at least 5 + years’ experience in offshore related discipline (likely Subsea or D&C, but we are open to suggestions)
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills and able to effectively work within a multi-discipline team
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to adapt and support the needs of the project
  • Candidates will need OWT Medial, Tbosiet, MSIC
