On behalf of our global Oilfield Services organisation, NES Fircroft are looking for experienced Directional Drillers to join the team in Perth to support onshore and offshore projects.

As a Directional Driller, you will play a vital role performing hands-on work as part of the Drilling Team; from overseeing work at a field site to providing quality service to the customer.

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 per annum

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Perform directional driller job duties - control the direction of a wellbore with a variety of specialized bottom-hole assembly (BHA) tools and configurations designed to steer a drilling head.
  • Monitor information transmitted from several downhole and surface sensors to measure the real-time performance of a drilling operation.
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Execute service delivery to the customer.
  • Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
  • Assist the Design/Technical Engineer with implementing technical programs and bids.
  • Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services.
  • Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the Compliance Assessment Tool (CAT), self-assessments, and wellsite inspections.
  • Lead Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
  • Participate in HSE and quality initiatives.
  • Observe HSE policies & maintain the required safety training.
  • Provide backup to the Job Delivery Lead and PSD Managers in their absence.

  • 5+ years of experience in Directional Drilling (preference in non-conventional)
  • PSD experience 
  • Engineering degree
  • English: Level B2
  • Availability to work on rotation
  • Experience with MWD and LWD
  • Offshore tickets and certifications - BOSIET/HUET / valid OGUK required

Preferably applicants who have valid Australian Working Rights will be considered.

You will need a current UKOG medical and valid BOSIET.
