NES Fircroft is seeking candidates for an immediate job opportunity with one of the countries leading chemical manufacturers for a Document Control Lead supporting their Charlotte, NC operations. This individual will be responsible for the project execution and organization of document management systems, processes, specifications, standards, and tools to deliver and control the execution of capital projects. Job Details
Location: Charlotte, NC—Remote candidates will be considered but will require occasional travel to Charlotte.
Hours: M-F 40 hours per week—some OT may be required.
Pay Range: Negotiable based on experience. 
Duration: 1 year with high probability of extension or conversion to fulltime.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all controlled company documents.
  • Establish, update and control procedures for all incoming and outgoing project documents and process accordingly.
  • Create and manage document hierarchy and process systems.
  • Take charge of all document identification, classification, and filing.
  • Frequently conduct document audits confirming they are current and accurately reflect recorded evidence.
  • Train others in the capital project-controlled document processes to ensure correct handling of documents.
  • Oversee document through its entire lifecycle (inception to archival).
  • Check and edit incoming documents and prepare for distribution in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Create document filing and organizing systems that are both effective and efficient.
  • Ensure proper organization and security of documents (paper and electronic).
  • Log document requests and help retrieve documents as needed for employees.
  • Make available, notify and distribute documents to support project development
  • Confirm delivery of documents to proper personnel.
  • Issue documents, current revisions, and modifications to subcontractors. Handle all document issues from subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance to project personnel for the proper retention of project documents.
Job Qualifications
  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience within document controls or related industry experience.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Aconex and SharePoint.
  • Must have procedural awareness of all project phases.
  • Previous experience in the Chemicals industry would be a big plus.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Power Bi would be a big plus.
  • A college degree in Business Administration or Management would be a big plus.
  • Candidates local to the Charlotte, NC region would be a big plus.
