We are looking for a Document Expeditor for our client who is in oil&gas industry and specialised in offshore an fpso. This position is located in the Rotterdam area and it's a 1 year contractor position with a possibility to extend it.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for expediting of vendor and internal documentation as per purchase order data requirements and/or approved document schedule.
  • Responsible for internal expediting of documents under review to ensure timely review workflow completion. 
 

MAIN TASKS 
  • Participate in package gate meetings when applicable (KOM, Design, Procurement, Pre-fabrication, Testing and Release for shipment)
  • Review document schedules
  • Assist the Project Expeditor in ensuring timely submittal of vendor documentation
  • Assist in coordinating with the Vendors on resolving issues that might prevent timely submittal of documentation
  • Expediting internal review of documentation
  • Assist and coordinate efficient resolution to commented documents
  • Interface with external or internal vendor document control teams to monitor timely upload of received documentation 
 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 3+ years of document control/document expediting experience
  • HBO education or equivalent
  • Experience working on EPC projects 
  • Experience in project expediting is a plus
  • Experience working in multicultural environments
  • Knowledge and general understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Fluent English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Persistent and enthusiastic, able to deal with difficult situations with diplomacy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding on how to read and review document schedules
  • Experience with document control systems
  • Fluent in Microsoft office suite
  • General understanding of a supply chain process
