Draughstman
Offshore Wind Project
International Marine Contractor
Hybrid Working – London, Aldgate East
£35-45ph (outside IR35)
Minimum 12 Month Contract

My client, a world leader in maritime construction in the offshore industries, are looking for a draughtsman to join their engineering department, responsible for the installation of offshore wind farms. You will join a strong, multidisciplinary project team, working on constructive and workable solutions for technically challenging projects.

Role Responsibilities
 
  • Contribute to the provision of drawings and models for the offshore projects.
  • Collaborate with project designers and engineers.
  • Work on drawings for transport, lifting and hoisting work and foundations in the sea that are required for offshore platform installations and removals.
  • Making drawings that comply with the Drawing Control procedure and department standards.
  • Solving and providing support with technical challenges in a structural design.
  • Creating 3D simulations and installation controls for projects with the client’s ships.
  • You work with the tools such as MicroStation, Inventor and 3dsMax.


Role Requirements
 
  • A completed MBO course in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Draughtsman.
  • Be prepared to work temporarily offshore on our ships or abroad.
  • A proactive attitude and driven to complete the work well.
  • Affinity with work preparation and planning.
  • Team player with flexibility
  • English language skills, oral and writing
  • Quality Orientation, Result Orientation, Teamwork competencies (LEVEL 1)
