NES Fircroft is delighted to be partnering with an innovative large-scale renewable energy storage project near Manchester is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems within the project, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.

To be considered for this role, it is essential candidates have existing Right To Work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze electrical and instrumentation systems for the project, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful integration of energy storage technologies and the alignment of project objectives
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct site inspections, system assessments, and quality control checks, ensuring the proper implementation of project designs and the integrity of the constructed facility
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction personnel, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the construction process
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience as an E&I Engineer, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry
