Electrical ATEX Coordinator

To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Fornebu is looking for an Electrical ATEX Coordinator who can help us succeed.

What will you be doing? 

You will be working as Electrical ATEX Coordinator together with other colleagues in the Valhall project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with ATEX directives and regulations
• Responsible for the EX project coordination in the project
• Preparing the EX strategy for the project
• Overall QA/QC responsibility to check that Ex/ATEX documentation from several package vendors etc. are correct according to relevant EU directives incl. correct zone classification Assist the different teams regarding special conditions for safe use of ATEX in complex modules/ complex refurbishment scope of original equipment
• Define best way to build the ATEX Compliance Dossier

We think you should have some of the following:

• Master or Bachlor of Engineering
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in offshore oil & Gas projects
• Broad experience from system and package engineering
• Familiar with relevant EU and national standards -and especially IEC 60079 and the ATEX Directive
• Good knowledge of Ex / ATEX certification for various equipment
• Experience with Norsok
• Fluent in English (written and oral)

Working location: Fornebu, Oslo
Contract duration: May 2026 with option for extension
