Electrical Maintenance Technician / Ireland / Nutrition / Permanent


We are currently supporting one of our key clients looking to add a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to their established team in Ireland.

As a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment performance and provide support to the manufacturing department including maintenance, troubleshooting, wiring installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.


Job function & Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
*Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
*Report any current or potential hazards to your supervisor/dept. manager immediately.
*Electrician is responsible for consulting any SOP’s or equipment manual for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure they fully understand and adhere to the SOP.
*Housekeeping is a critical function of all jobs and the Electrician is expected to ensure all housekeeping activities are observed and carried out appropriately..
*Carry out programming and diagnostic of plant and equipment.
*Ensure no faults occur and if they do adjustments are made and checks carried out until no fault exists.
*Carry out calibration of plant instrumentation in accordance with Calibration SOP.
*Fully complete all PM’s plant forms and maintain full compliance.
*Follow correct procedure when carrying out hotwork & confined space entry ensuring work permits are fully in compliance with SOP’s.
*When working on equipment ensure the correct lockout – tagout procedure is adhered to
*Maintain equipment in utilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
*Maintain training records on Compliancewire System.
*This Job function will change where update procedures to cGMP, EHS, Technical / New Equipment, Quality Procedures & SOP’s are made.
*This list of responsibilities may change depending on plant needs and employees are expected to be adaptable and flexible where this need arises.

Person Specification 
*Have a recognized apprenticeship in the electrical or electronics field.
*Senior or junior trades certificates in electrical craft.
*Proven track record or demonstrated ability in electrical and electronics field.
*An ability to read diagrams and troubleshoot equipment.
*Ability to troubleshoot and fault find PLC’s using P.C. based diagnostic tools.
*Ability to work on platforms, scaffolding & ladders.
*Good mental ability to logically follow a line of though for problem solving.
