Our client, a leading global oilfield services company, are looking to hire an Electrical Assembler on an initial 12-month PAYE contract. This position will be based at their site in Farnborough. 


Role summary:
To carry out wiring, soldering and where required simple assembly tasks to predefined standards and instructions.


Responsibilities:
• Reading and working to wiring diagrams, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams.
• Read drawings, bills of materials & follow shop documentation.
• Use bench tools applicable to an electrical wiring shop environment
• Simple testing of assemblies including electrical safety checks e.g. Megger.
• Work to quality standards IPC Class III
• Assist in the introduction into production of new products
• Be proactive in ensuring that health and safety is first priority. Including both company employees and those of the suppliers & customers.
• Proven wiring experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferable.


Requirements:
• Engineering apprenticeship / Prototype wiring or similar training.
• To be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communicator at all levels.
• A team player.
• Ensure time taken is accurately recorded using ERP system.
• Comply with company rules and procedures.
• Able to work on own initiative, to meet agreed objectives in a timely manner.


Work Pattern:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Friday - 8:00am to 1:00pm


Payrate:
£20.00 per hour
