As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Piping Engineer – Work Package with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
The project is led from Stord.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
- Ensure the building method is implemented in work packages.
- Participate in organizing work tasks, routines, and procedures for the Work Package group.
- Implement corrective actions in consultation with Group/Discipline lead if differences in procedures/routines.
- Prepare Work Package to Construction and Subcontractors for prefabrication and installation of all Pipe and Pipe Support work.
- According to plan schedule, define work packages with all necessary data structure in MIPS.
- Check the project norm factors for the job estimate.
- Generate job estimate according to current guidelines.
- Clarify the start date for the Work Package with Planning Department and Construction.
- Prepare and verify the complete Work Package.
- Continuous updating the Work Package with any changes.
- Report status and progress on own activities by checking out "estimated complete" at work and activity in MIPS.
- Continuously collect data for the experience report.
- Verify interface against EI&T discipline, production, and planning department.
- Contribute with Continual improvements work.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Knowledge and use of the 3D tool.
- Good knowledge of MIPS.
- Minimum Bachelor’s or technical degree. Relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education.
- Experience with both piping and pipe support.
- Fluent in English and English, both verbal and written.
- Good communication skills.
