Enterprise Architecture Lead – Permanent – Monaco

Start Date February 2025 
Hybrid working, 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Required:- Master’s degree in computer science, IT or equivalent. Minimum three years of experience in a similar role with proven track in technical leadership & in designing solution architecture incl. cloud solution technologies. This is a senior role, requiring solid experience, to support my clients Digital Transformation from their current IT solutions architecture maturity to an end-to-end blueprint & technology roadmap. Excellent communication skills in English, both written & verbally & the experience with working with global teams in various time zones.  Ability to quickly develop a solid business acumen linked to oil & gas industry. IT Vendors such as Microsoft. Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure Technologies & design (Azure / Azure VMware / Azure Kubernetes). Modern Application Development Technologies & Design (Low Code / Power Platform). Integration Technologies & design (Azure Integration Services / Tibco EBX / Boomi). Data Platform Technologies & design (Azure Data Lakehouse).  Agile/DevOps methodology. Enterprise Architecture framework & tool (Mega Hopex is a plus). English language mandatory

JOB PURPOSE
My client is seeking a proactive Enterprise Architect Lead to guide a team of IT Solutions Architects & actively support the growth of our Enterprise Architecture community. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical leadership with team oversight, participating in key project design activities while ensuring architectural alignment across solutions. The Enterprise Architect Lead will drive consistency, align projects solution architecture with organizational objectives, & contribute to an evolving enterprise architecture roadmap that supports digital transformation & innovation.

 Enterprise Architect Lead responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide technical leadership & mentorship to a team of four IT Solutions Architects, fostering a collaborative & growth-oriented environment.
  • Manage team members’ appraisals, assessing performance & supporting their professional development.
  • Drive consistency in architectural practices, promoting knowledge-sharing & skill-building across the team.
  • Oversee the quality of EA deliverables, ensuring adherence to standards, & project-specific requirements.
Enterprise Architecture Lead Vision & Strategy
  • Collaborate with the EA community to define & implement an architectural vision aligned with business goals & evolving technological landscape.
  • Contribute to the development of a technology roadmap, bridging current capabilities with future-state architecture.
  • Understand our complex application landscape & identify opportunities to rationalize & harmonize it.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, & best practices, assessing their potential impact on the company’s EA.
Enterprise Architecture Lead Design & Execution
  • Lead IT solution architecture design activities across Business projects portfolios ensuring adherence to IT standards & guidelines.
  • Engage with project teams from initial qualification through RFI/RFP phases, developing solution recommendations & High-Level designs that balance cost, security, & technical requirements.
  • Work closely with business & IT stakeholders to deliver architecture that are scalable, secure, & aligned with both project & IT requirements.
  • Maintain accountability for solution architecture deliverables, including solution cartography within our EA tool.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
  • Regularly review & update reference architectures to address technological advancements, & emerging risks.
  • Maintain governance processes that ensure solution architecture assurance & compliance across the portfolio.
  • Define principles, standards, & patterns that guide consistent, future-ready solution architecture.
  • Support the roadmap for the evolution of Microsoft products ensuring alignment with the EA vision.
  • Collaborate with IT delivery teams to optimize solution design & refine reference architectures.
