To give you an idea of how this ESG Manager role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Ensure all internal and external requirements are met in relation to environmental impact assessments, environmental baseline studies and environmental management
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, social impact management, and all required specialist social studies for projects in the region
- Provide strategic advice on good international industry practice for resource acquisitions and management, environmental and social performance, ensuring the teams work collaboratively across the business
- Ensure projects are compliant with lender environmental and social standards such as IFC, Equator Principles, World Bank, the Green Hydrogen Standard and internal FFI environment and social performance requirements
- Oversee the implementation and management of social and environment risk registers across the region
- Lead the development and implementation of the firm’s environment and social credentials in the region.
To apply for this Environmental, Social Governance Manager role, you will need a degree in an applicable discipline e.g. Environment, Social Sciences, International Development studies or a related discipline. You will also require the following:
- Over 15 years of experience, 5 of which must be at a managerial level
- Demonstrated experience leading and successfully delivering ESIAs covering marine and terrestrial environments for large-scale projects in Norway and/or the European Region.Experience working on energy development projects in the region
- Experience working with international lender performance standards such as IFC, Equator Principles, World.
