ROLE :
Expeditor
The expeditor reports to the Project SCM Package Lead.

JOB SUMMARY :

The Expeditor follows the supplier’s production, including the logistics aspect and the preparation of expediting documents such as packing lists, commercial invoices.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :

Coordination/communication
As main Point of Contact of Interpipe at supplier’s site, the resident expeditor will:
o          Maintain excellent relationship with stakeholders involved on site in Germany and in Houston: customers inspectors, supplier project manager, supplier inspector, supplier export team, customer logistics manager.
o          Raise alert to project team in case of any deviation. The expeditor communicates any relevant information identified.
 
Expediting
Attending to supplier’s manufacturing facilities visits:
•        Check supplier capacity vs. planning in production steps.
•        Check material delivery
•        Collect any document needed for project (qualifications, material certificate...)
•        Make photos of work in progress & issuing and daily reports on production activity (identifying parts viewed vs. planning)
•        Ensure data is shared with project team & recorded
•        Attend final inspection and package inspection as per inspection test plan
•        Ensure critical documents are issued, signed, and shared by the stakeholders involved (IRN, signed Inspection test plan)
•        Follow up of parts released vs global project order.
 
Logistics
Coordinate export process with customer logistics manager
•        Ensure supplier sharing estimate and final PL in time.
•        Ensure supplier is issuing COO as per project specification.
•        Issue export documents (shipping invoice and PL as per project specification) and sharing it with customer Freight forwarder.
•        Attend truck loading at supplier site
•        Keep record of all export documents and share it internally with project team (proof of export, export documents)
•        Coordinate communication with export team: supplier, customer logistics manager, customer FF, ITP project team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
 
  • 5+ years in expediting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Skill should include pivot tables, formulas, chart creation and managing large data files).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team.
  • Fluency in English.
