NES Fircroft are currently seeking a Facilities Optimisation Team Lead to work on a 28/28 rotation to Basra, Iraq.

Role synopsis

The Facilities Optimisation Team Lead will be responsible for leading a small multi disciplinary group within the larger Production Optimisation team. This team will be responsible for fine tuning and debottleneck the surface facilities to maximise throughout.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop a very detailed knowledge of the facilities capabilities and limitations. This will be done by developing a close relationship with operations engineers and technicians, performance testing, field trials and comparisons with simulations.
  • Responsible for identifying existing and future bottlenecks and generating robust proposals and prioritised plan to improve capacity. Follow up on the execution of these plans and measure the impact on production
  • Responsible for developing online performance monitoring schemes - as data historians become available.
  • Significant interaction with the Reservoir Team in identifying spare capacity that can be filled by new wells and understanding where additional production is readily available to focus debottlenecking activities.
  • Maintaining and updating the HYSYS and other process models included in the integrated asset model for surface equipment.
  • Assisting in loss reporting and tracking
  • Leading production upset investigations

Essential Education
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.

Essential experience and job requirements
  • Must be willing to work in Basra on a rotational basis.
  • Proven experience in oil and gas facility operation and debottlenecking.
  • Strong communication, mentoring and coaching skills with ability to work within a multicultural environment.
