Field Operator - Wireline Services - Moomba, South Australia
Location: Moomba, South Australia
Contract Duration: 6-12 months initial contract (view to extend)
Work Hours: 12 hour days - FIFO 28 days on 28 days off
As a General Field Operator – you’ll be able to learn, develop knowledge and gain valuable technical insight. You’ll be guided and mentored by an experience team member. To have full understanding towards wellsite problems and how to develop resolutions.

As a General Field Operator – you’ll be able to learn, develop knowledge and gain valuable technical insight. You’ll be guided and mentored by an experience team member. To have full understanding towards wellsite problems and how to develop resolutions.
In general operator duties are:
- Assemble, check and load necessary equipment required for scheduled job.
- Drive company vehicles in a safe manner, observing all company and government regulations, and arrive on well site at scheduled time.
- Set up truck, unload equipment and tools and rig up for job.
- Assemble tools, attaching to and from cablehead, and perform electrical and mechanical checks.
- Guide subsurface tools in and out of well (under direction of Sr. Operator), assist in regulating pressure control equipment, and (under direct guidance of Sr. Operator) operate hoist as required.
- Rig down equipment, load and drive truck to next location or shop.
- Clean truck, tools and equipment, and (under direct supervision) perform routine maintenance in preparation for next job.
- Obtain and apply comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and procedures and observe them at all times. Correct obvious hazards or unsafe conditions and report those which cannot be corrected immediately.
- Perform special assignments as required.
- Be available to perform the above duties on short notice, day or night.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck License as a minimum
- Be a team player with ability to build trusting relationships with customers and display good communication skills.
- Ability to work a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) rotation
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
