NES Fircroft are working with Woodside Energy seeking a Financial Governance and Improvement Analyst to join their team in Perth.
 
Location: Perth CBD
Length of Contract: 6 - 12 months
Hours: Mon to Fri, 7.5 hour days
Flexible Working: YES
Start Date: ASAP
Experience Required: 3 + years as an Accounting professional.

 
Woodside Energy are seeking a curious and motivated Financial Governance and Improvement Analyst to assist the Manager of Financial Governance in co-ordinating and performing financial governance processes and reporting.
 
This includes ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our organization and delivering improvements to core finance deliverables. The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving and helping others as well as have a continuous improvement mindset, embracing change and technology to improve processes and deliver value to the business.
 

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Coordinating and performing manual journal and reconciliation controls and reviews
  • Completing associated SOX workbooks for ELC & R2R controls assigned to governance
  • Liaising with external auditors for the MRL at HY and YE
  • Assisting with MoA updates and changes
  • Preparing A&RC papers
  • Assisting with financial governance processes, including minutes, DQM responses, and queries from the business
  • Preparing financial statements related to auditor remuneration independence notes
  • Suggesting and implementing innovative technological solutions to streamline processes and increase efficiency
 
 

Experience Required:
 
  • An understanding of Woodside’s financial systems and processes, S/4 Hana experience would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and execute deliverables to high quality in a timely manner.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, improvement mindset and high attention to detail.
  • Utilising technology available to deliver efficiencies.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to support and work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Exposure to financial regulations, e.g. accounting standards, SOX
  • Nearing completion/or completed their professional qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
  • 3+ years experience as an accounting professional.
