NES Fircroft are delighted to represent the new role for an FPSO Hull Manager for a Deepwater project. 

For this role, my client are looking for someone to oversee and manage the hull management services upon my client's FPSO during the project's engineering phase.

This role is a residential position offering an all-inclusive rate based in Paris, France. The start date for this role is ideally August 2024. The duration is 12 months (renewable) up to 5 years once all the contracts have been awarded.

  1. Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE, to implement and control H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility and to comply with H3SE training requirements needed to perform the services.
  2. Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy, promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program within the Project
  3. Be informed of Hull-related Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms and standards, extracting all the applicable requirements for the FPSO Hull, including but not limited to Key Technical Requirements.
  4. Identify, implement and manage any study or survey that would be requested for Hull engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, installation ... in coordination with FPSO team and management.
  5. Define, develop, issue and maintain all necessary technical documentation related to the FPSO Hull. Support and participate also to the development and maintenance of Project Management main documents (SOR, FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) related to his perimeter.
  6. Ensure that all engineering, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification pre-commissioning and commissioning aspects are suitably addressed during the different engineering phases by timely reviewing (or having reviewed) and validating the relevant FPSO Hull documentation issued by Contractor(s), (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests).
  7. Ensure that HSE&Q issues are correctly handled in all FPSO Hull technical documentation. Raise subsequently comments, highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices that could affect FPSO Hull during fabrication, installation, production.
  8. Act, as technical referent vis-à-vis Contractor(s), coordinate all the activities of the Hull area, supporting and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities, and objectives as required.
  9. Liaise with the other Package teams (SURF, SPS, etc.) to ensure swift resolution of Interface matters.
  10. Participate to project reviews as requested by the client's ’referential (PR, DER, CSPP...).
  11. Ensure safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project and ensure active participation to HSE continuous improvement program.
  12. Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the FPSO Manager, consolidation reports, presentations and the like.
  13. Assist and support the FPSO Manager on all aspects of the FPSO related Call For Tender, Clarification & evaluation process,
  14. Participate in CFT clarification meeting, and ensure follow-up activities,
  15. Participate to the preparation of the RTA, in coordination with the full FPSO team,
  16. Be aware of the Interface Management lessons & learns on similar Projects and take benefit of them for the Project.

  • Qualification: Good experience in engineering for similar type of project and experience in studies and execution phases of large offshore oil & gas projects
  • Languages: English and French
  • Professional Experience: at least 15 years of Experience
  • Experience within project: at least 10 years of experience in large offshore oil & gas projects
