NES Fircroft are looking for a FPSO Project Control Engineer to join a major operator on a residential assignment in Kuala Lumpur
As Project Control Engineer you will work within the FPSO team under the responsibility of the FPSO Project Control lead, responsible for all activities related to the project control of the FPSO. The role will assist the FPSO Project Control Lead with the organization, supervision, control and coordination of the relevant work in relation to the contracts, planning and reporting, budget and cost control, documentation control, Risk Management, HR, Administration, Services and logistics for the Project as defined by his hierarchy for the FPSO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Starting date: Period from 1st September 2024.
Duration: 1 year minimum to 3 years, potentially, after awarded of the FPSO package contract
Location (country/site): Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia then to be advised
Status: Residential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualification: Engineer and/or relevant degree associated with project control
Languages: English fluent, Chinese is a plus
Professional Experience: At least 15 years in Oil & Gas projects
Experience within project: At least 10 years in Project control activities

As Project Control Engineer you will work within the FPSO team under the responsibility of the FPSO Project Control lead, responsible for all activities related to the project control of the FPSO. The role will assist the FPSO Project Control Lead with the organization, supervision, control and coordination of the relevant work in relation to the contracts, planning and reporting, budget and cost control, documentation control, Risk Management, HR, Administration, Services and logistics for the Project as defined by his hierarchy for the FPSO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that project cost follow-up and planning are within the budget and schedule for completion of the FPSO package
- Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, respect the Project HSE requirements and ensure application of HSE rules. He/she is also accountable forrespecting HSSE rules and ensuring their application within his scope of responsibility.
- Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy.
- Assist the organization and support the Project Control team of the FPSO package.
- Implement, checks the implementation, respecting procedures associated tothe Project Controls activities, including respect of confidentiality, ethics and compliance.
- Assist the Project control lead with the FPSO Risk management, ensure Risk register is up to date by coordinating with discipline & area leaders
- Assist with the contracting process for all the contracts to be placed, then contractually and commercially the awarded Contracts, and liaise actively with relevant specialists for the technical management part.
- Manage the preparation and update of the FPSO package budget, the control of the costs and make suggestions for costs reduction
- Coordinate the FPSO package schedules with the FPSO planning engineer including the data needed for the Project integrated schedule, monitor the progress of the activitiesin full coordination with FPSO package Manager, lead specific transverse activities & dedicated missions (Task Force) as relevant
- Prepare and disseminate the FPSO package reporting by monitoring the contentand quality of the information issued both internally and externally.
- Develop and implement a structure to facilitate FPSO package files capitalization, set up the FPSO package Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Assist the FPSO project control lead with the HR administration for all the FPSO package HR activities and monitor the mobilization plan as per plan.The service holder will manage the FPSO package logistics (offices, etc.)
- Contribute to the preparation of the FPSO package implementation Plan and the local development plan
- Consolidate the elements of the Long-Term Plan (LTP) within the scope of the FPSO package
- Reporting to the FPSO control lead and FPSO package manager, the provider will be highlighting any area of concern regarding Project Control matters, ensure rigorous follow up & management of Change Orders requests, Potential change orders, claims and counterclaim dossier.
- Performing and/or supervising the close-out of the UFR Project Control activities respecting Affiliate and Project procedures, the provider will, in the absence of the FPSO project control lead, be liaising actively with all Package and line Managers and, as a general manner, with all the Project Control team members, for the performance of the above duties and liaising with Project Control Manager as required
