To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions team in Fornebu is looking for a Functional Safety Specialist who can help us succeed.

What will you be doing? 

You will be working as Functional Safety Specialist together with other colleagues in the Hugin A project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:

• Ensure, plan and arrange for SIL assessment workshops for any remaining process systems and relevant HAZOP package to be renewed in HAZOP after summer (3rd party facilitator), including potential “change-HAZOPs”
• Plan and arrange LOPA workshops for selected PSD SIFs (expected duration ca. 2 weeks workshops) after main HAZOP is finalized (3rd party facilitator)
• Issue “Terms for Reference for LOPA” in due time before LOPA workshop
• Issue “LOPA report” (LOPA to be performed inside SafetyInsight (SIT) tool, but a summary report needs to be issued in doc. format to communicate the requirement results to the relevant disciplines)
• Ensure validity and update (re-issue) of “SIF Identification and SIL allocation report” after changes in design and/or SIL requirements
• Follow-up relevant vendor packages w.r.t. SIL requirement input and clarifications for vendor scope and deliveries (participation in BCMs and other vendor meetings as required)
• Perform SAR review as relevant according to project “SIL Supplier Requirements” document
• Responsible for overall ensuring necessary PSD SIF input is given to SafetyInsight for systems SRS for PSD systems together with Instrument responsible for PSD (all local SIFs and belonging requirements shall be defined and included in SIT)
• Follow-up and ensure relevant interface clarifications applicable for local SIFs (PSD)
• Arrange for and participate in FSA stage 1 (including ensuring FSA document deliverable in Proarc)

We think you should have some of the following:

• BSc or MSc degree in relevant subject
• 5+ years’ relevant functional safety experience for Oil and gas topside Greenfield projects.
• NORSOK experience
• Hands on experience in handling SIL report, LOPA report, running workshops, handling HAZOP package and follow-up vendors etc.
• Good communication and presentation skills in English, verbal and written. Norwegian is an advantage

Working Location: Fornebu, Oslo
2 years initial contract with options for extensions.
