Our client in the resources sector are involved in a number of projects and developments across the globe. Their Global Mobility team are responsible for successful expatriation, in-country onboarding and payrolling during assignment, and repatriation of employees. They also look at personnel considerations for in-country local employees, as well as Australian inbound immigration.
 
Due to high-volume activity, they are seeking an adviser to join the Global Mobility team. The role will have responsibility for Australian and Asian locations for all aspects of Global Mobility. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with multidisciplinary functional teams and business leaders to support global activity
  • Provide professional guidance and advice to HR Business Partners, Line Managers, employees and secondees regarding global mobility processes and guidelines, within defined policy and procedures
  • Initiate new international assignments, extensions and transfers actions, including liaison with expatriate administration, tax and immigration providers in a timely manner
  • Prepare international assignment secondment letters with overseas entities, JVPs or other oil and gas companies.
  • Ensure employment related tax compliance in global locations outside of Australia
  • Ensure immigration compliance in global locations, including inbound to Australia
  • Support the delivery of benchmarking of international remuneration and global mobility practices including monitoring practices from competitors, other countries
  • Input to appropriate strategies on international remuneration and global mobility practices
  • Responsible for data integrity for SAP HR Module and Global Mobility Service Provider system –international assignments, remuneration and HR data reporting
  • Responsible for following internal global mobility procedures and implementing change where applicable

Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified professional (mandatory), who has demonstrated experience in the global mobility space. We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate successful mobilisation of personnel across a global footprint and multiple jurisdictions.
The position interacts with leaders across the business, so you will comfortable communicating at all levels within the organisation.
You will have a track record of building high trust relationships, based on a track record of successful high-volume delivery.
