🔷 Hiring: Head of Planning
(Long-Term Project)
Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar

🔹 Work Setup
  • 100% Onshore
  • Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
  • 6 Days per Week
  • 8–10 Hours per Day
🔹 Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead and optimize project controls, with a strong focus on planning and scheduling management. The role involves schedule development, risk analysis, critical path identification, and variance monitoring, ensuring effective execution and decision-making support.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all planning & scheduling functions across project lifecycle
  • Develop and implement project control procedures, guidelines, and reporting frameworks
  • Oversee schedule development, performance analysis, and improvement recommendations
  • Coordinate inputs across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
  • Ensure contractor compliance with planning standards and project schedules
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, and recovery planning
  • Evaluate contractor performance and provide corrective recommendations
  • Integrate project changes and assess schedule impacts
  • Provide clear planning insights to management for decision-making
  • Act as key interface between Company and EPC Contractors
🔹 Key Challenges
  • Managing tight deadlines in a high-pressure EPC environment
  • Handling schedule recovery and risk mitigation efficiently
  • Collaborating with multicultural teams and large subcontractor ecosystems
  • Ensuring accurate, real-time planning insights for leadership
🔹 Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
🔹 Experience & Expertise
  • 10+ years in Project Controls (Oil & Gas EPC Projects)
  • Proven experience managing Lump Sum EPC contracts
  • Strong expertise in Planning & Scheduling tools:
    • Primavera (P6)
    • Acumen / Primavera Risk Analysis
  • Experience working with Owners or Contractors in major capital projects
🔹 Skills Required
  • Advanced scheduling (L1–L4) with resource loading and logic development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform schedule risk & impact analysis
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and team coordination capability
  • Proficiency in MS Office & project databases
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal English)
