LOCATION
BAH DIVISION / DEPARTMENT   REPORTS TO   POSITION DETAILS JOB PURPOSE The Head of Procurement is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the procurement function within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring efficient sourcing of items and services to meet the company's needs DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Procurement Head
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
Develop, Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and terms to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and senior management, to understand procurement requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in procurement processes.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation within the procurement function.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Prepare and present regular reports and updates on procurement activities, performance metrics, and key initiatives to senior management.   MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
4 years of experience in leading the procurement department.
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing procurement strategies and SOPs that drive cost savings, improve efficiency, and enhance supplier relationships.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  Preferred Education and Professional Certificates Holds a bachelor’s degree in supply Change Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Required Proven experience in the Procurement department leading role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good Communication Skills – English
