Contract: 12 months

Job Description: A ground breaking large-scale renewable energy storage project in Manchester is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project's compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as promoting a safe and responsible work environment.


•You will be an integral member of the project team to assess, prioritise andmanage HSE risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Implementing an annual HSE performance improvement plan.
• Engaging contractors to set clear HSE expectations, holding them accountable to deliverincident-free projects in conformance with the contract.
• Coaches line management on safety culture leadership.
• Working with project teams to implement GPO Common Processes and GPO Alaska HSE roadmap requirements
• Providing HSE input to the evaluation and selection of contractors
• Provide HSE support to Project and Construction Managers, outlining the contractual HSE requirements for the services and equipment to be provided by the contractors whendeveloping scopes of work
• Input to Project assurance plans, ensuring that appropriate HSSE activities are included.Arrange for these activities to take place including any external participation
• Represent Project as HSE Lead at contractor meetings to facilitateunderstanding of project requirements.
• Ensure development of appropriate HSE bridging documents to bridge HVP and Contractor HSE Management Systems

• Have an Engineering /technician qualification or equivalent
• Hold a HSE qualification and are OSHA trained
• Have previous experience of site management and CDM expectations.
• Significant experience in HSE (projects and operations).
• Proven track record of strong safety leadership (culture and systems).
• Proven experience working with project leadership to take action to develop and maintain a culture andbehaviours that enable safe, responsible and reliable projects.
• Promote standardisation and simplification of HSSE plans, processes and procedures
