NES Fircroft are working on behalf of an industry leading power cabling client, sourcing Health and Safety Manager. The HSE manager will be responsible for site works on the Dogger Bank Wind Farm project. Covering both onshore and offshore cable installation packages as a long term opportunity.

The role has been assessed as outside IR35 so can allow Ltd Company working (pending a personal assessment). For the correct, competent and suitable candidate, the role will be based on a 12-month renewable contract with a 4 week notice period. The Manager position will include managing Health and Safety Advisors and interacting with other site based stakeholders. Experience within Onshore / Offshore cabling or HVDC is desirable 

Main Requirements
The candidates suitable for CV review and possible interview shall have the following competencies / qualities:
  • Degree / diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety Management (NEBOSH, NVQ 5, NCRQ Level 6)
  • Hold a valid CSCS or CCNSG Card
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Health and Safety Management
  • Hold a lead auditor qualification to ISO45001 / 18001 Standard
  • Trained in accident incident investigation techniques inc root cause analysis
  • Have active Continual Professional Development as a Health and Safety Manager
  • Hold IOSH Membership.
  • Previously held management positions on Renewable Energy, HVDC or Transmission Projects.
  • Competent and proficient in offshore and onshore construction projects.
  • Fully conversant in UK Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Proficient in ALARP Risk Management Principles
  • Comfortable writing project plans and procedures to manage health and safety.
  • Must be client facing, feel comfortable managing tier contractors and comfortable managing a small team.
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated and work well in a team.
  • Ideally have previous SSE project experience.
  • Proficient in the English language and Microsoft Office.
