Title: HSE Site Representative
Contract: 12 months
Location: Manchester, UK

Job Description: A groundbreaking large-scale renewable energy storage project near Manchester is seeking an experienced HSE Site Representative to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project's compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as promoting a safe and responsible work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs for the project
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions
• Provide HSE training and guidance to project team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing preventive measures to minimize recurrence
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to integrate HSE best practices into project planning and execution
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific HSE regulations and standards
Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Proven experience as an HSE Site Representative, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk assessment skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote a positive safety culture
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry.
