Chevron Australia is seeking a HSE Specialist (Operational Excellence) to join their Perth based team. This role may require regular site travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of the Contractor OE Management (COEM) Process
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Operational Excellence (OE) management system processes to support Business Partners and Business Owners manage risk, assurance and safeguards.
• Provide HSE expertise and guidance to Business Partners (Contractors) and leadership to achieve strong OE-HSE compliance and successful HSE performance outcomes.
• Provide guidance and coaching on safe work practices, human and organisational performance, risk management including risk assessment and safeguard verification and environmental risk management.
• Responsible supporting assurance activities, field level emergency management and response activities, contractor qualification and day to day contractor HSE management, internal & external incident / environmental reporting (including regulator interfaces) and delivery of all OE-HSE related training.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the following:
• Strong HSE process and system knowledge in core HSE processes such as Incident Investigation and Reporting (IIR), Risk Management, Managing Safe Work, Document Writing and Development, Environmental Management, Contractor Management, Emergency Response, Security, HSE and Dangerous Goods Legislation, Regulator Engagement, Assurance Processes
• Working knowledge of the harmonised WSH legislation and codes or practice.
• Experience in delivering training and inductions
• Demonstrated ability to coach, influence and build HSE competency in others.
• Proven experience and tertiary qualifications that allow the person to speak with authority, competence, and clarity on key HSE processes and practical HSE process field application
• Ability to analyze data and information to make sound decisions to advise on continual improvement initiatives to improve partnership and OE performance
• Flexibility to work remotely / site travel
